We estimate that there are approximately 1,500 to 1,800 Jewish students enrolled at the University of Kansas.
What does Hillel provide for students on holidays?
Partner with Lawrence Jewish Community Center for High Holiday services, organized break the fast parties for Yom Kippur, a sukkah, Chanukah parties, Purim programs, a place to go for Passover seders, and much more! What does Hillel do for Shabbat?
KU Hillel holds weekly Shabbat services, usually Fridays at 6pm at the Burge Union. A free dinner follows. Some Shabbat services are themed, such as Shabbat around KU, Greek Shabbat, Shabbat 350, and leadership Shabbat. There is a weekly e-mail newsletter highlighting upcoming Hillel events. To have your email address added to this list, enter your name in the box to the right. Also, keep an eye out for Hillel flyers around campus, Hillel tables on Wescoe Beach or in your residence hall, and ads in the University Daily Kansan.
